Is rafting on the Ibar River safe and what physical abilities are required?
Rafting on Ibar river is considered safe under normal conditions and is only risky during rare spring floods and storms. We monitor water levels daily basis and confirm departures only when conditions are ideal.
The river offers a range of rapids: in summer, easy Class II rapids with some rocks and small drops suitable for basic paddling skills; in spring more challenging Class III rapids with longer whitewater sections that require significant maneuvering and are suitable only for experienced rafters.
For water activities, participants should be comfortable in water and have at least moderate swimming ability. Participants must be mentally and physically fit, and not to be under the influence of alcohol or psychotropic substances. No prior experience is required. Participation is not recommended for pregnant women, individuals with serious health conditions or injuries.
Can children join the rafting?
Yes. Children aged 7-12 who can swim may participate if accompanied by one parent. Children over 12 years old not accompanied by one parent may join with written parental consent. Please note that the price for children is the same as for adults.
Can rafting be organized as a team-building event for companies and what are the benefits?
Yes. Rafting is an excellent team building activity. Working together to paddle and navigate the rapids encourages teamwork, coordination, communication, and mutual trust — while also creating plenty of fun and memorable moments.
It develops problem-solving skills, as navigating rapids and obstacles encourages quick thinking and collective decision-making. Overcoming challenges on the river also boos team spirit and motivation, leaving colleagues more connected.
We can combine rafting with meals, cultural visits, or other outdoor activities to create a full-day corporate program tailored to your group. Rafting is more than just an adventure — it’s a powerful team experience.
Do you provide help with lunch and accommodation after rafting?
Yes. After rafting, we can organize a traditional lunch in local restaurants or in rural households, according to the group’s preferences. We can also arrange accommodation in nearby hotels or ethno villages, depending on the level of comfort you prefer.
