ITINERARY:

DAY 1: Belgrade - Drina river - Tara National park

Transfer from Belgrade in the morning to Drina river approx.. 2.5h, on the way stop at Gate of Podrinje lookout. Photo stop at House on rock and Vrelo waterfall. Lunch break in the restaurant near the river or at Tara national park. Hike tour at 1h to Banjska rock lookout. Transfer to Zaovine lake, sightseeing. Check in and free time, overnight Tara.

DAY 2:  Sargan 8 train ride – Mecavnik - Zlatibor

After breakfast check out and Sargan 8 heritage train ride 2.5h with 5 photo stops and 1 coffee break in the heart of Mokra Gora park of the nature (train that once upon a time used to connect Belgrade with Sarajevo and Dubrovnik). Lunch break at Wooden town Mecavnik, resort built by famous Serbian film director Emir Kusturica, who made a movie „Life is the miracle“ in the same village). Transfer to Zlatibor center, check in hotel, free time to explore center and local market. Overnight Zlatibor.

DAY 3: Gold gondola - Sirogojno – Stopica cave - Gostilje - Zlatibor

After breakfast check out and Gold gondola ride to the highest peak of Zlatibor - Tornik 1496m (the longest panoramic gondola in Europe) transfer to Stopica cave (sightseeing around 45 min), sightseeing of Sirogojno open air ethno museum “Old village” 1h. Free time for lunch in traditional restaurant. On the way back to Zlatibor, visit to Gostilje waterfall for easy hike around 1 h. Free time in the evening, overnight Zlatibor.

DAY 4: Zlatibor - Tara river canyon – Durmitor Black lake

After breakfast transfer to Zabljak town in Montenegro National park Durmitor (around 3h, depending on the border time). Visit the bridge over the Tara river (optioanal Zip line over the Tara river canyon, the deepest canyon in Europe, so called “The tear of Europe”). Arrival to Zabljak, visit to Black lake, hike around the lake approx.. 1,5h. Lunch time near the lake. Check in hotel, free time and overnight Zabljak.

DAY 5: Durmitor  south ring - Piva lake - Kotor

This day after breakfast and check out we will cross Durmitor mountain south ring panoramic route and enjoy the landscape of one of the most beautiful national parks in the Balkans. Visit to Piva lake and time for lunch in the restaurant nearby, optional boat cruise at the lake or Zip line. Transfer to Kotor in the late afternoon/evening. Check in accommodation. Free evening to explore Kotor old town (UNESCO). Overnight Kotor.

DAY 6: Kotor – Lovcen gondola or Speed boat tour

Breakfast in hotel and check out. Optional Kotor speed boat tour 3h (Kotor bay, Gospa od Skrpjela island, Submarine tunnel, Mamula, Blue cave) or Lovcen gondola ride above the Kotor. In the summer time optional swimming. Overnight Kotor.

DAY 7: Kotor - Lovcen national park - Skadar lake  - Uvac canyon 

After breakfast and check out transfer to Lovcen National park. Visit to Njegus mausoleum and viewpoint. Skadar lake visit and boat tour 1,5h at the biggest natural lake in Montenegro. Free time for lunch near the lake. Transfer to Zlatar mountain, Uvac canyon area (SRB), check in and free time in the evening, overnight Uvac.

DAY 8:  Zlatar - Uvac  nature reserve - Belgrade

After breakfast check out and departure to Uvac lake. From 11h-15h boat cruise on Uvac lake, visit to Ice cave, short hike to the viewpoint with amazing view on Uvac canyon and griffon vultures). Time for lunch neaby the Uvac lake. Transfer to Belgrade and arrival in the evening, hotel chekc in.

DAY 9:  Bye bye Belgrade and Balkans!

After breakfast check out and airport transfer according to the flight time.

* Program could be extended 1 more day on the Zlatar mountain with visit to Zlatar lake, boat cruise and in summer months swimming available.
