A vast plateau full of pine trees that get incredible golden glow in the sun’s rays makes Zlatibor one of the most beautiful mountains in Serbia. Serbian capital of mountain tourism, buzzing with tourists during the summer and during the winter alike, is located at an average elevation of 1,000m, and is surrounded by peaks Tornik (1.496m) and Čigota (1.422m). Here we will also visit the charming old village of Sirogojno and explore the unique Stopica cave. One of the most popular ski centers of Serbia - Tornik, is on our travel map - and we go there by the longest panoramic gondola in Europe!

On this tour you will also explore Tara mountain and Drina river valley with Perucac lake and the shortest river in Serbia which ends with the beautiful Vrelo waterfall. Winter on Tara National Park transforms the entire landscape into a calm, snowy wilderness, perfect for anyone who loves nature at its most peaceful. The thick pine and spruce forests become quiet, white corridors, offering a sense of solitude you rarely find elsewhere. The rugged terrain and gentle hills are covered in soft snow, creating breathtaking scenery in every direction. Even in winter, the Drina River adds a striking contrast with its deep green water flowing between steep, frosted cliffs. Tara in winter is ideal for slow walks, photography, and simply enjoying untouched natural beauty far from the noise of everyday life.

 

And Mokra Gora - the best village by UNWTO with its colorful wooden town Mecavnik is a place that will surely win your heart. Winter in Mokra Gora transforms this mountain village into a peaceful, storybook retreat. Snow-covered forests, wooden cottages, and quiet winding paths create a cozy, timeless atmosphere ideal for slow walks and enjoying untouched nature. Nearby Mećavnik (Drvengrad) adds a unique cultural charm with its traditional wooden architecture, warm interiors, and stunning winter views over the surrounding hills. Itinerary:

DAY 1: Transfer from Belgrade to Zlatibor (hotel pick up) at 8h, arrival to Zlatibor around 11h, Gold gondola ride to Tornik ski center. Enjoying the views over Zlatibor landscape, sledding, snowman making, drink break at the peak. Gondola ride back to Zlatibor center and free time for lunch and for pleasant walks around lake and square. Optional skiing or ski classes with instructor. Transfer to hotel, check in, free time in the evening.

DAY 2: Transfer to Mokra Gora village 45 min, sightseeing of Mecavnik wooden town 1h with coffee break. Transfer to Tara mountain, visit to lookout Crnjeskovo (walk 15-20 min).  Visit to Drina river valley - Perucac lake and Vrelo waterfall, lunch time near famous house on the rock on the Drina river. Transfer back to Zlatibor.

DAY 3: Check out and transfer to Stopica cave 10-11h, sightseeing of the cave famous by limestone pools and cave river by 12h. Visit to "old village" Sirogojno, learn how mouintain people use to live back in 18th and 19th century, learn about tradition and everyday life, and enjoy winter landscape. Time for lunch in the village. Transfer back to Belgrade 16-19h.
