Belgrade Airport to the city center – options and prices

Updated: May 6, 2021

The airline ticket has been purchased, the accommodation has been booked - the next thing you are probably thinking of is how to get from the airport to the city center or your hotel in Belgrade. In this article you will probably find all possible options and prices which will help you organize a transfer to suit your preferences. Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport is located 18 kilometers away from the city center.

1. BUS

This may be a good option if you are travelling on a budget and if your luggage is not too large. There are 2 bus lines, one is operated by public transport company (PTC Belgrade line 72) and the other one is operated by a private company Banbus (A1 mini bus).

PTC Belgrade line 72 – this line has a number of stops on regular bus stations along the way, approximate transfer time is 45 minutes (but this depends on traffic conditions, the time of the day etc). Ticket price is 150 RSD (1.3 EUR) and you can buy it from the driver. The final point is the bus station called Zeleni Venac Square which is around 5 min walk from the Republic Square.

A1 Mini bus – this mini bus line operates from the Airport to the Slavia Square (Kralja Milana Street) and has 2 stops in between (The Fountain at New Belgrade and the main train station). This line goes faster and you should be in the city center within 30 minutes. Ticket price is 300 RSD (2.5 EUR) and you can buy it from the driver.

2. RENT A CAR There are many national and international rent a car companies whose offices are located at international arrivals area at Terminal 2 and Terminal 1 ground floor. Prices, of course, depend on the number of days and a car type. This could be a good option if you want to explore Belgrade and Serbia on your own. Make sure your accommodation has a parking lot so that you do not waste time looking for a parking place, which can often be a challenge in Belgrade city center.

3. TAXI

This is a very popular way of organizing the transfer, there are several zones in the city and if your accommodation is in the city center you will be charged 1800 RSD (18 EUR, this is a fixed price for the transfer to the city center). NOTE: For the use of taxi services from Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport to any destination in Belgrade area and further, try and find city service TAXI INFO desk, located in the baggage reclaim area and we suggest you take a taxi receipt at the information desk which contains the name of your destination and commensurate price for the taxi service.

4. PRIVATE TRANSFER

This is maybe the most comfortable way to organize airport transfer, you can contact us and our English-speaking driver will wait for you holding your name according to your flight time. The car transfer for up to 4 people is 20 EUR, minivan 5-8 people 35 EUR.
